What do you collect?

Became a homeowner last year, Home Depot receipts. It's 10 minutes from my house so easy to be lazy and forget something when I have something to work on and not really care about going back. I think my record is 6 trips in 1 day.

Been there before... It's bad when the cashier and paint department know your first name, last name and orders by the end of their shift

Dad Jokes. I had a killer collection but then I got old and forgot most of them.

Camping gear. Started with my days guiding trips in the BWCA (summer and winter) and it’s hard to stop. Spent a summer backpacking as well out west.

I collect cone top beer cans. I have over 300 cans. Cone tops were rolled out in the 1930s as a hybrid between a beer bottle and a flat top can. They were filled using standard bottling equipment, which made the conversion from bottles to cans easier and more cost-effective for breweries. Cone tops were discontinued by the end of the 1950s.

I don’t collect them now, but I still have my baseball card collection of like 2,000 cards from when I was a kid. I haven’t looked through them in years. I need to go through them at some point. I’m hoping there are some diamonds in the rough there.

I collect the original 1977-1985 Kenner Star Wars figures, ships, creatures, etc. Anybody else have a cool collection?

That totally takes me back to my childhood. I had the whole bottom right shelf and a good portion of the figures on the top 2 shelves. That ewok tree stand got a ton of play time with me and I mix and matched Star Wars with GI Joe figures for battles. Thanks for the trip down memory lane!

Ragbrai T-shirts. I actually have a SAGBRAI t-shirt. Wish it still fit!

ISU stuff - I have a program from every football game I've attended from college years to the present.

Also have the programs from every Big 8/Big12 bball tournament I've attended.
A prized possession - in the fall of 1999, I attended the Cyclone shootout after a football game. Got every men's and women's team members to sign the program. As time went on, I was able to get Eustachy's, Fennelly's, and Pete Taylor's autographs.

Both teams won the Big 12 regular season (women tied IIRC) and tournament championships. Was in KC and on TV watched the men lose to Mich St. Then went to Municipal and watched the women lose. Ugh.
