Mountaineers have beaten KSU 5 times in a row. WTF? Insert quizzical Doc Rivers gif.
KSU stomped WVU their 1st two season in the league(12/13), won a couple close games(14/15), then dropped 5 straight to the couch burners.

CMC has gotten KSU twice in 3 years. That in itself is another exorcism of sorts performed by coach.
FYI, Clones & WVU has split their last 4 meetings with ISU winning the last 2.

I get that you really can't apply transitional properties to football teams, as there are so many different moving parts. However that 5 in a row vs KSU is a real shocker. Anyone else know of other odd anomalies in the league? I suppose Gundy being 2-13 vs OU has to be in the convo. Gary Patterson is 7-2 vs UT since joining the Big 12. I'm uber jealous of GPs record vs the Horns.

I'm (we're) fully aware of ISU's historic futility vs. OU, but saw a graphic during Bedlam last night and I was surprised to see how lopsided that series is.

OU is always good, and have been for the better part of the last 60-70 years. I’m sure there are a few lopsided series with them.

No matter how you slice it, some teams are just a tough matchup for one team, and not so much some others. ISU struggles against KSU, even when they are not that good is a great example. Northwestern really has Iowa's number in most years, even though they are not always great. Baylor has really give the longhorns fits over the years.

The TCU vs Horns domination is puzzling. TCU seems to either be 9-3 or 5-7 with really no in-between.

Looking back at 2017/2018 Texas had their way with ISU in the trenches, especially with their D-line vs ISU's O-line. No other team in the B12 even remotely dominated the Clones in that way. Yet other teams would have a field day running against the Horns front. Personnel, scheme, injuries. Its all relevant.

I remember that game, and it was like UT knew the play better than ISU for most of the game. They would run blitz on every running play, and be back on every pass play. No doubt they have better players than ISU in terms of ability, but that game was very discouraging. Hopefully ISU will figure out a way to move the ball on Friday, and keep Elinger from having a good day.

Gundy (15 years) and Les Miles (4 years) have the same number of wins vs OU (2).

For everything he’s done to make the program consistently compete in the upper half of the conference he still gets slapped around by OU.

although the data set is smaller, that fits Campbell for conference performance plus in-state rivalry. So far. (I assume that's going to change beginning next season).
