Weather Thread - Jan 10 & Jan 11

Yes, because when you think nice weather you think Cbus! I mean, we just had weather in the fifties and sixties the day after christmas in Iowa. Its not like it's that much different there.

We had 4 snowfalls over 1” last winter. Our largest snowfall was 4.2”. It’s a lot different especially if you’ve lived in Iowa for the majority of your life. I think there were 9 days where the low was less than 10 degrees last year.

Schools immediately west of Cedar Rapids dismissing early...gotta be the ice in the forecast.

This dude is only here at this point to remind you that you are stupid to be a loyal fan no matter what.

So let it be known, come hell, high-water, snow or Steve Prohm, Clonefan32 will only follow an Iowa State team if they are doing well.

Welcome to Asshat Friday

I should have clarified my original post. I'm not discouraging following and supporting the team. I'm not discouraging going to games. I'm very much in favor of that!

I was just trying to note that this marks about the 10,000 time that that particular poster has mentioned that he goes to games no matter what.

With wind still being a factor and calls for blowing snow wouldn't be surprised if we get called out to close the hwys on Saturday morning due to drifting..

On average its 6 degrees warmer in winter and you get 20" instead of 30" avg snowfall. If you want to call that a lot different ok, but it's not like were talking different wardrobes here.

Ankeny just announced a two-hour early dismissal for the day. Which seems a little weak to me as it looks like we're at least a couple hours away from actual snow falling.
