It was a freshman walk-on that wasn't on the travel squad, so maybe. They played in Tennessee Tuesday night. Guessing if something like that happened at ISU it would be up to the team to decide, or at least I'd hope it would be their call.
For a small school like this it might have been an admin decision, these road games are how these small school help fund their programs. ArkPB plays nine NC games in a row on the road. They don't like going on the road to lose every game but it's their bottom line. Not sure what the womens teams get paid but the directional schools for men get around $50k/game per a ten year old article using Miss Valley State as the example.. It's not like they have season ticket sales or donors.
