I thought the ISU Women's Program, with our top ten attendance, would have enough cachet to entice young women from smaller successful programs, who'd already won big and dominated at a lower level, now wishing to test themselves in a Power Four Conference.

Loyola - 8th Place in Atlantic 10 - 16-18 (9-9) - Alex-Anne Bessette (All Conference - 3rd Team)
Kent State - 8th Place in MAC - 15-16 (9-9) - Mya Babbitt (All MAC 2nd Team)
Florida - 12th Place in SEC - 18-15 (5-11) - Gift Ezekiel (No Honors)
Florida beat 11 nobodies and FSU in non-conference play. Non-conference losses included Navy, VA Tech & Tulsa. Conference wins (including SEC Tournament) were Missouri, Auburn, Arkansas, MS State & Ole Miss, then MS State again. One quality win all season - #21 Ole Miss.
Our big acquisition last season, EP from Wofford, was Southern Conference Player of the Year and Defensive Player of the Year in 2024-2025. She only started five games for us in 2025-2026.
