***WBB: 2026 Recruiting Thread***

I thought the ISU Women's Program, with our top ten attendance, would have enough cachet to entice young women from smaller successful programs, who'd already won big and dominated at a lower level, now wishing to test themselves in a Power Four Conference.

LaSalle - 6th Place in Atlantic 10 - 19-14 (10-8) - Ashleigh Connor (All Conference - 2nd Team)
Loyola - 8th Place in Atlantic 10 - 16-18 (9-9) - Alex-Anne Bessette (All Conference - 3rd Team)

Kent State - 8th Place in MAC - 15-16 (9-9) - Mya Babbitt (All MAC 2nd Team)

Florida - 12th Place in SEC - 18-15 (5-11) - Gift Ezekiel (No Honors)
Florida beat 11 nobodies and FSU in non-conference play. Non-conference losses included Navy, VA Tech & Tulsa. Conference wins (including SEC Tournament) were Missouri, Auburn, Arkansas, MS State & Ole Miss, then MS State again. One quality win all season - #21 Ole Miss.

Our big acquisition last season, EP from Wofford, was Southern Conference Player of the Year and Defensive Player of the Year in 2024-2025. She only started five games for us in 2025-2026.

Things that make you go hmmm...

There’s only one thing that entices players anymore. Winning and losing doesn’t even matter

I think you have some quality starters in Paulk, Conners, and AJ.

Paulk was not a good scheme fit for a dog **** scheme last year.

Can you find 1-2 bigs and a good ball handler? Can you give Comito the ball handling reigns day 1? Based on my limited state tournament viewing, she is fast paced and wants to get shots up quickly - will Bill let her play fast?

Harvey has some impressive highlights. Could see her being the starting PG.
I thought so too after watching her highlights. Her stats last year were less impressive. Her minutes dropped significantly as the season went on. Has potential.

Her minutes started to drop and she starting to force things to try to prove herself. Could definitely be our leading scorer next year

Scoring might be a challenge next year. If we returned Jada, Addy, and Audi these players would be good additions, but we are going to need some players to step up big time. I’m glad they want to be Cyclones and I’m interested in seeing them play.

He’s gonna have to have a couple home runs here soon or next year could be really rough

Also. Since we live in probably the most selfish era of college athletics, can he please put the freaking names back on the jerseys?
For some reason that really bothers me. I mean, I get the old coaching philosophy There’s no I in team but holy cow…. There’s definitely an I in team now a days.
Just put the names back on.
