Walking Dead

technicaly they are shooting 16 episodes and then breaking them up into 2 short seasons so its not that long between new seasons.

I don't understand why AMC doesn't up that to the mid- to upper-20's and have a full, standard September-May season. Of course people would watch.

What about the worst show ever, Comic Book Men. I was forced to watch it a few weeks back to get the preview for the next Walking Dead. They could have a camera in my living room filming me type and the random noises that come from my body and the country would be better off.

AMC's ratings for sunday and a few other notables thrown in (NCAA tourney games). Comic book men was the lowest viewed show from about 5pm to midnight, with a slew of reruns being aired.

Looks like they'd be best just airing an hour of talking dead immediately after walking dead.

I think full seasons of 20+ episodes are a thing of the past, at least for quality TV shows like those found on HBO/AMC. The best shows are going towards season long story arcs, rather than the standalone episodes of the past. With less episodes, they can spend more $ per episode and make the show better with higher production qualities. Plus, you end up with a lot of "filler" episodes when you stretch a season out to 20+ episodes, hard to maintain the momentum and keep the storyline moving when you have too many episodes.

I was just wondering if anyone is going through as much withdrawal as I am. I have trained myself to make to the couch and get ready to set the DVR on Sunday nights.

Cheers

I just finished reading the first 8 comics, good stuff. My fix is in for now. I guess I need to find the rest of them!

I read the whole comic up to current and the storylines are quite a bit varied so I don't feel like it spoils the show too much. I like the comic but the show has been great, possibly better in my opinion. It's easy to make a comic more interesting because you can take reality out of the equation to a degree to make the storyline pop, while in the show, it has to pass the eye test.

Finally read WWZ.

I'm still convinced that if you did it right heading north during the zombie apocalypse would be smart. I guess I should say "staying north" for those of us in Iowa. You'd definitely have to prepare to fight the living as hard as the dead.

I really liked the attention to water and that danger from the dead was everywhere including on the ocean floor in the presumed safety of a nuclear submarine.

I want to see some zombies coming out of lakes and rivers on TWD.

It's a great book. Fascinating stories.

I've had the book since Christmas. I asked for it and got it from my parents. I started it and liked it a lot but then didn't bring it with me back to school. I'll read it over the summer.

Ha. I got it for Christmas as well. I would've lent it to you had I known, but with just 2 weeks left, it's probably not worth it.

Apparently a movie is in the works World War Z (2013) - IMDb
