It would be nice if they had the scores to the other games on that old screen as well.

True. They havent made a final decision on what it will be used for. Those ideas were just some initial thoughts they had.

Just as long as no sound comes from those old, rusty speakers...

Honestly I think this is going to look amazing! If people want, go ahead and tell Jamie we want to keep our current outdated scoreboard that all BCS teams and most mid major teams have a better one and keep the terrible sound system and Cyclone football can never improve. Let's do that!

I have to agree that I'm a little dissapointed myself. A little too long and skinny. I also thought maybe the sceen would appear bigger than it shows in the pictures. However, I think part of it seeming so small is because of how long the whole board is compared to the actual screen. The whole thing just doesn't seem to fit well in my opinion and I think they could have designed it a little better. However, like someone else said, it is better than what we have now, but can't help but feel a little dissapointed.

Looks great! I can't believe people are basing everything off a picture. Let's wait and see.

A little taller videoboard would be nice in a perfect world, but we're getting a more than 5x increase in screen size and a new sound system. Hard to complain. If you've got a million bucks laying around you want to donate though, im sure the AD would be more than willing to discuss changes.

I think the LxW thing will look a lot better in real life though.

Leave it to internet message board posters to dig for something to consistently ***** about.

"It looks too skinny in the renderings"
"It looks to tall"
"It needs a brick base"

Give me a ******* break.

I am so excited to see a new BA intro with sound that is clear and that is loud enough for everyone to hear and then see the team run out on to the field under it.

Actually, I looked at it again and retract my disappointment. The view we have isn't doing a good job of representing the true size of this thing. Here:

This thing is going to be massive. While I still think it would look better if the supports were more of the style of the pillars off of Elwood on the way in, this thing is going to be sweet.

It amazes me how negative cyclone fans are about everything. People have been begging for a new scoreboard or something to happen and then when it does all you hear are complaints about its too skinny, its too tall, I don't like the legs. Even if they would've put in the absolute perfectly sized board, people would probably complain about the screen resolution or the fact that they didn't feature your favorite player in the renderings.

Quoted for Truth.

The football team could have just won the National Title and we'd have fans on CF complaining about the way CPR was holding the crystal football.

No ****. Cyclone fans are impossible to please.

Thank you! If I had to throw around blind accusations and complaints, I might ask how many of those complaining are donors...

And I don't see anyone of those folks talking about the picture included which shows the ENTIRE board showing video. I think this thing is sweet!

Even if they only covered the bottom half of the supports with bricks so that it looks like the rest of the buildings around there, it would look a million times better than it does in the renderings.

There's no bricks around the stadium, minus the 'Honor before victory" statue at the entrance on the NE corner.

Have to remember, there's only so much $ they can work with here, they already asked for 1 million more, they didn't ask for 1.3 million more just to put block around support structure to make it 'match' other structures around it.
