I know you have tickets but I have 4 to anyone interested in going for the cost of nothing. In section 133 row 7 seats 5,6,7,8. Thanks. We’re going home a winner! ISU 25-18, 3-1.
TT does have more talent this season and while they have more front row length than ISU, the athleticism and skill of ISU ended up prevailing. From my amateur perspective, it looked like Texas Tech had more talent, but we were more disciplined, particularly knowing where to be on defense and setting up hits. It seemed like a lot of our hits went out of bounds, but our hits were set up better. Also, we had a much better knack for the little taps over the net. Tech seemed to make many more dumb mistakes.
Yes, I agree. the 4th set it the line-up for the Cyclones was more defensive minded and it was evident with all of the rallies that were happening.TT does have more talent this season and while they have more front row length than ISU, the athleticism and skill of ISU ended up prevailing.
It is tough to recall a match that ISU won where CJL made more successful pre-match & in-match scheme and personnel changes than what she did last night. That included switching in-match from the 6-2 to 5-1, benching Duckworth, having Martin play DS upon the switch to 5-1, shuffling Jackson/Wachholz/DeRonde in & out of the rotation and somewhat surprisingly, starting Hanfelt at MB (and playing her on back row as well) to replace the injured AHW (instead of starting Jackson at MB and Wachholz at RS). And Hanfelt played great for the most part.
