looked over and saw my daughter playing soccer with her friends and a short little guy. Walked over and it was a Troy Davis. I have not noticed a thread on him yet unless I missed something

Btw he was super nice and posed for pictures. Surprised the best player in Cyclone history did not even get put up on the scoreboard
I wonder how many games he's been back for. It's probably good I didn't see him. There's no celebrity I'd lose my **** over, but I don't know if I could suppress my inner fanboy around Troy Davis.
Maybe he wanted it that way? I dunno, he is being honored next week I think?
I think both of the Davis brothers were here this weekend. Thought I saw a Facebook picture of them both.

Saw Troy and Darren in the lot after that game. Pointed them out to the kids and made them read Blum's Tale of Troy on the drive home. Not often you see 8000 college rushing yards standing together.

I got my picture taken with Troy. My dad and I walked right past him and he said "Hi, how's it going?" with a big, gold-toothed grin on his face. I had to do a double-take - no way Troy Davis went out of his way to talk to me! He was so personable and looked legitametly happy to be in Ames. We chatted for a few minutes and he easily could have kept on talking to us. I saw him and Darren in the lots later after the game talking with some older fans and they talked to them for like 10 minutes. I still can't get over how happy they both seemed to be back in Ames.
As mentioned, Troy and Darren are in Ames for 2 weeks. They will both be honored next week vs Baylor.
