Transfers In?

I would hope the 10-14 best players on Washington State's roster who aren't seniors would be mighty interested in joining ISU. We could use them.

- I feel we should be allocating a heavy amnt of dollars to D line guys who have shown promise: Alijah Carnell, Zamir Hawk is a STUD, Jace Gilbert flashed in some games this year
- Next I'd like to see us retain some key offensive linemen (who they could be working out deals right now). Garret Rutledge, Brendan Black, Austin Barrett comes to mind. Let's retain a few starters there too.
Think I saw Black is going to the portal and Barrett is staying.

After today’s news bringing in the new QB coach I imagine we grab Raynor from Arkansas state.

Don't like his TD to INT ratio. We obviously need to find a QB in the portal to compete with Moberly one way or another so he may be in the portal mix given that tie. The portal is going to make or break us for the 2026 so for as busy as it has been with current players entering the portal we should see a lot of news once the portal opens coming to ISU as well. Rogers brought in 70 players last year to WSU and probably will have to do about the same with ISU too. The optimistic part of me hopes he can replicate what he did at WSU and assemble a roster than can compete for a .500 record and bowl bid in year 1. Probably going to be a tougher task doing that with a Big 12 program but I'm holding judgement until after the portal closes and the dust settles.

I'm sure Campbell is going to take on some of our top players to PSU. Hearing could be 10-15 guys and that doesn't surprise me. Rogers probably will have at least that if not more coming from WSU I bet. I was looking through the portal tracker and there are a lot of 1 year left guys we are losing and a few 2 years left. So in the long term picture while it would have been nice for a few senior leaders to stay to be a bridge for the new coaching staff it also opens up a lot of playing time for younger guys to stay or come in and win some spots too.

With all of these guys leaving, have we heard anything about players that are going to transfer in next season? I know transfer season isn't official until January 2, but have we heard of anyone wanting to join this squad for next year? We need mega help at every position other than kicker right now. Hoping we bring in a few gems and can piece together more than 3 wins.

You literally answered the question in your question. And a question that’s been answered close to 1,000 times since CMC left.

The portal opens January second. That’s when players can announce where they are transferring.

WVU went through this last year, which is why they sucked. I expect them to be considerably better next year. They got commits from some of the top PSU recruits who decommitted when Franklin got the boot.

I'll be curious how WVU progresses under Rich Rod. Recent signing class was something around 50 players- that's a lot of youth on a 100 man roster. Sounds like a long-term approach to building a roster vs. looking to win in 2026. But maybe Rich Rod plans to turn the roster and bring in a bunch of portal kids too.
