Toure

I think being a bit unfamiliar with the NCAA BB landscape helps him here. Compared to someone like Lipsey or Heise, I would guess he doesn't know/care much that Iowa is a big rivalry, or that Mackey Arena is a "tough place to play" etc.
I think he came here for that. He wanted the higher competition level in all facets.

Just hope Toure returns for another year at this point. NBA scouts have to like what they see.

I think he needs to develope a little more on the offensive end. Get more mature in his game. He is fantastic though. I kept getting mad when he wasn't in the game. BTW my opinion is just based on the NBA and not his game right now. He is right now becoming a top ten guard in the country.

He completely shut down Stirtz. When they tried their high school-level high screen b.s. to free him up, Toure just went through them all and he couldn't do anything. Was beautiful to see.

Watching him slither through screens last night - on the ball, off the ball, whenever - was a delight. Stirtz kept trying to get closer and closer to the screener, and Toure just slipped through and never lost a step. Incredible.

Words don't do it justice for how good he's been for a freshman with only 10 games under his belt. He has zero fear. Matched up against two of (if not) the best point guards in the country 5 days apart? "Yeah I'll just put 'em in a body bag thanks." So fun to watch him play and easy to root for.
He's a grown ass man.

Are we sure Stirtz is "one of the best offensive players in the country"? He's good against Quad 3 and 4 teams, I'll admit that much.
He’s a really good shooter. But he has some glaring weaknesses. Going left and general use of finishing with the left. Also, his catch and shoot numbers I believe are way worse than off the dribble.

Go back and watch some of his highlights this year, almost all of his long range shots are off the dribble. He can be kind of predictable on O. He rarely catches and immediately rises.

That said, I think he’s shooting like 60+% off the dribble so yeah, that’ll get you some NBA looks.
