Top 25 Ranking?

I could use some help figuring out how Oklahoma State received 31 votes in the Coaches Poll, yet ISU received only 6.

In fact, here is how the voting has gone:

Week 8:
ISU - 3 votes (this was after beating #6 WVU)
OK State - 0 votes (lost to Kansas State)

Week 9:
ISU - 0 votes (Bye Week)
OK State - 0 votes (Bye Week)

Week 10:
OK State - 31 votes (beat #6 Texas)
ISU - 6 votes

The coaches poll is trash and there is zero analysis put into the rankings. I'm not saying the AP is great either but it is definitely better.

I think we have a chance of being ranked in the playoff poll, as that is kind of a fresh look at things, but the other polls are too dependent on previous opinion. Even though we're 4-3, we've played the hardest schedule in the nation.

One full point better than anybody else in the nation.

Not playing SDSU helps it not dragging down, however.

Incarnate Word is going to murder that statistic.

Easy, it was a nationally televised night win against a traditional power. If it were ISU in that spot the same thing would happen.

Even though ISU beat Oklahoma State it does not mean they are necessarily better (however, I believe ISU is). Beware of the transitive property.

Also, the coaches poll is a joke. Hardly any of the coaches take it seriously nor fill it out themselves. Do you really expect coaches or staffs to have the time or care in ranking the nation's best teams?
