Oh I don't know about that. Perry Ellis has finally retired. Though he was looking a little rough towards the tail end of his 35 year career and we still couldn't beat them so maybe not.

I'll be thrilled if we are a Top 25 team this year. Ranking seems about right, on paper we look likely to be in the 5 - 10 seed range. The key to being even better will be if any of the frontcourt newcomers can surprise us and be real difference makers. The grad transfers look like average role players. If one of them or Carter is a huge surprise, or if Solomon Young is a stud as a freshman then we could have a great year.
It's good to be on this list. Being ranked constantly in the Top 25 is just great for this program and recruiting. I hope the coach's poll and AP have ISU somewhere in the Top 25 to start out the year as well.
URI should do well, but not No. 18 level. Dayton will finish with a higher seed. I'm thinking 7 compared to a 9.

This was most-recent cream-of-the-crop season for Rhode Island. (Eventually reached Elite 8, and frittered away a late lead, if IRC)
I don't mind where we are ranked. Being the underdog may work out to our advantage as we ride the ranks. Our great bench will take us just as far if not farther.
I think we're pretty underrated. We have probably the best back court in the nation. Can't wait to see the defense from the three 'guard' look.
I just hope we stay ranked in the AP top 25 so we can keep that streak going! I know that's a bit unlikely and a stupid reason... but I can dream right?
I'd like it just to keep the program near the "consistency spotlight." I can't remember where ISU ranks currently in the consecutive-weeks ranked -- is it something like 8th?
I did not realize ISU was that far up the list. My gut says preseason AP poll will put us near the T25 fringe, and exact placement isn't a big deal in the larger picture, but if it's already in top-5 consecutive, it'd be cool to continue it "Just Because."
