TJ - the Right Guy for These Times

It seems to me that we have the right guy. My biggest concern is that he seemed a little too rigid as far as scheme. We went almost exclusively to the high post offense, which worked OK until teams figured out that Conditt could neither shoot nor dribble and Brockington couldn't go right. I would have liked to see a little more pick and roll, as Conditt was very good at rolling and Hunter made decent decisions with the ball. BUT, maybe TJ just did all he could with the talent available and trying something different wouldn't have helped. It will be interesting to see what he does with a different set of talent.

I'm still shocked that we ended up in the S16 with that team. We've had teams twice as talented flame out in the first round or miss the tournament all together.
All about seeding and matchups. I was excited we got dropped from 9 / 10 range down to 11 as it made the possibility to advance into the 2nd weekend better. Sure it was a little more difficult getting past a 6 in first round than a 7 or 8, but getting the 3 seed vs a 1 or 2 was great. Could easily have a better team this coming season and get a better seed but end up with tougher matchups and flame out early.

I’m surprised that TJ has yet to be given a new contract - along with his assistants. It could help in the recruitment of AJG.

Agree with a lot of that.

But we're in a really good spot if our HC's critiques are whether there were some offensive game plans or x&o changes on an average talented team.
