I haven't been there since scooter rental became a regular thing so I can't help there. San Diego really is a great city. Everybody loves it. You'll have a blast.

San Diego has Bird scooters all over the place. Easy and fun to use.

We used Bird scooters a lot 3 years ago in SD. I did hear last year that they were outlawing them in a lot of SD neighborhoods. Download the Bird app and it will show you where they are located.
