Re: THESE REFS

Worst officiating all year. No goaltending call. Least penalized team getting calls every single trip down the floor. ********. And the nonstop +1. Ridiculous.

We have got to be the worst D1 schools in giving up threes with 1 second on the shot clock. Does kirk track that? Can he?

Re: THESE REFS

How does a P5 ref miss a goal tend call? Bank shot for 3 right after. Get all our bad luck out of the way now. This sucks.

Re: THESE REFS

We got absolutely ****ed! Have not seen a screwjob like that in 2 years. They stole the game from ISU.

Re: THESE REFS

There's a reason Blum said this was a poor officiating crew. Refs need to be held accountable for their poor calls.

Re: THESE REFS

How about we play some defense against a team that is 3-7 in the Big 12? Williams is killing us

Doesn't matter the record as OSU and KU showed, but we have to close out games better. Having said that, that non-goaltend was the MO that changed the game and I don't care what anyone says

Re: THESE REFS

That goaltend was egregious. Even worse was the nonstop continuation calls for tech. Da ****, is this the NBA or what? Didn't realize a guy driving with his head down was in the act of shooting.

ISU did plenty of their own choking(McKay getting himself suspended, Nader intentional foul, Monte mind boggling last possession), but the refs certainly tipped the scales in Tech's favor, and in an overtime game on the road, that's enough.

Disagree, Nader's intentional is what turned the game for Tech. Missed goal tend was the icing on the cake, but ISU should have finished this in regulation, even with nonstop foul trouble and McKay gone.

Re: THESE REFS

I usually follow the 24 hour rule, but I'm especially steaming out the ears for this one. I know we struggle at tech and I know winning on the road is tough, but no reason that the refs can't be somewhat consistent. Allow contact down low on one end and call an all ball foul on the other. Garbage. Not saying we couldn't have played better in some areas or others, but I'm sick of seeing us getting screwed with the refs stepping in to call a cheap foul and miss a big call on our end ALL THE TIME. It's reached it's limit of old after 2 or 3 Big 12 apology letters

This. I actually thought ISU was benefiting from the officials for most the game. In OT, not so much.

Re: THESE REFS

Georges backing away to not foul, nope, still gets foul and they get bucket. Just awful, but the goal tend and bs three were killers.

Re: THESE REFS

Not only is that FT disparity bad, but then you consider that we scored about double the points in the paint.

They shot long 2's all game! And the only time they took it to the paint they got "fouled". I just....

we could have been 1 game out of the b12

No doubt that was a STUPID foul, but if we get the call, we're up 2 instead of tied and I don't think they play the same offense with the previously stated situations ( I realize it's a what if situation that can be argued until the end of time but up 2 vs tie is a big difference in terms of offense)

Re: THESE REFS

The refs were horrible both ways. I think we benefited as much as we were victimized.

Really? Are U kidding? That goal tending not called cost Isu the game..period. It's not like they missed it and there was 15 minutes left. Meh no big deal..that call wins Isu the game..period. And tech shot 28 free throws.....28. Isu shot 9? Last game at Hilton Isu got called for more fouls too than other team. Tired of this.
