It is hard to be positive when a lot of things need done. First and foremost we need a front four to come out of the woodwork on defense.

Think about it this way, though. Our defense was so bad, the opposing offenses could often score quickly, giving our offense more time on the field. (The exact opposite of the way things are supposed to work) So, our offense racks up yards, but loses the game badly.

Our yards per play on offense were the highest since 2000. Our yards allowed per play on defense were the highest of any year (from 2000 on). Also, we ran fewer offensive plays this year than last year (841 vs. 896) and our TOP was lower this year than last year (30:46 vs 32:50).

No, I also got out of it that you used "we" when describing Iowa something like a million times, as if you're on the team or something. You're just a SPECTATOR, just like the rest of us...

Is it possible it is an easier way to differentiate who I'm talking about and what my primary alignment is? I'd like to toss in a "typical" ISU fan comment here, but since I really don't like that sentiment, the lazy debating skills that drive it & its “mirroredâ€￾ implication, I’ll stop at the mention of it.

Besides the fact that in my opinion Iowa and ISU fans are pretty similar in their short sightedness and inability to be objective.I suppose most fans are like this but this board has seemed better than most..
