The problem that has plagued coach Rhoads during his tenure at Iowa State has been to find a quality quarterback that could lead our offense, complete a high % of passes and consistently drive our offense down the field. Arnaud, Jantz, Barnett have all been the same in respect of how they have quarterbacked Iowa State over the years. I think Rhoads is a great coach and ISU is a good team, but until we can get a quarteback who can find his receivers, complete passes and make plays to keep drives alive, I believe ISU will struggle to find consistency on O.

Yes, it has. This style of team would have done pretty well in most years, however recently, the B12 has become an offensive juggernaut FB league.

Not only have we had deficiencies at QB, we've also rarely had better than an average receiving corps and that won't get it done in a league like the B12 where it's the norm to score 35+ppg in league games.

I wonder what they are looking for when scouting. My hometown (Mediapolis) QB Jesse Ertz wanted to go to Iowa or ISU, but didn't really get the looks... He has verbally committed to K-State so they are going to have another great QB coming in next year... Thru 8 games got something like 30+ TDs, zero interceptions and averaging close to 100 yards rushing per game with 8 rushing TDs; all thru just the first half, if he even stays in that long...

Wonder why we didn't offer either...

Ohh, Idk... Today I have to believe it was our defense that was the issue. We scored enough to win, but Snyder was right, the only reason KSU converted all of those 3rd downs (and scored) was simply because our defense let them.

21 points isn't enough to win in the Big 12, so no, we did not score enough to win. Considering the time of possession nearly ended in a 2:1 ratio, I'd say the defense did a great job of keeping ISU in the game. The defense does deserve some blame in letting Klein have his way too often, but they were NOT the reason why ISU lost this game. Continued ineptitude on the offensive side of the ball was the primary reason.

We win today if we had AA.

Thats Laughable cause AA lost to a worse mildcat team than this one on a neutral field.

The only way we win this game is if we have Colin Klein on our side, without that we lose everytime we play the mitee mildcats.

Afraid to say that the TOP was like 41 to 19, but I'm in total agreement. It's frustrating to be saying the same thing about the offense after three years and wasting the best defense in over a decade. The offense, yet again, is simply inadequate to the level of competition we face. It's good enough to get you to 6, maybe 7 wins, but not more.

can't put Arnaud in that group. He had just one season to learn that offense.

The defense in 2005 might have something to say about that, otherwise, yeah, I agree.

Gotta agree a high profile QB with this current team would have us doing exceptional things. As it is we don't have one. I pray we have an eye on a transfer or juco stud somewhere.

Not to be a **** but CPR is incredibly mediocre. He is below .500 in the conference and you guys have put him on some pedestal because springs a random upset once in awhile. He sucks, as does his recruiting. I hope you keep him forever.

You had better count your days cause once snyder gets hit by a large gust and turns into dust your back to kicking the can with kansas at the bottom.
