Three of the top four teams in the Big 12 right now are former G5 schools that were added when Texas and Oklahoma left. After a rough transition in Year 1, those teams are at the top of the league standings in Year 3.

Not really fair to call BYU a Group of 5, but I know what you mean. They all have very high potential which is why they were added.
BYU was always a sleeping giant. Not surprised to see them having success, especially in the age of NIL.
Same with Houston, always has had potential. Will see where Cincinnati ends up, long way to go.
