The fix is in...

Guys, Purdue could very well beat Indiana. The Hoosiers are a paper tiger and without Penix they're being overvalued big time. Yes, they beat Wisconsin with the backup QB but they got outgained 342-217. Add in the fact that it's a rivalry game and Purdue winning wouldn't be shocking at all.
After watching Wisconsin’s “skill” positions and DBs yesterday, I am back on my Indiana is a fraud kick.
Indiana is being propped up by
- beating bad Pedo St on a bad call
- A backdoor cover after OSU got bored and Day made a host of terrible decisions
- Beating 2-3 Wisconsin after UWs long layoff

IU has done nothing. Let’s not forget that before Penix got injured they were in a dogfight with Maryland.

And Indiana has not beaten a team with a winning record. All their wins are against teams that are below .500. The only team with a winning record they have played this season is tOSU. Completely Smoke and Mirrors.

Feels like everyone is scheming the year we actually did it right.

These hit pieces about how ISU isn't worthy of its ranking seem to not factor in that ISU stayed disciplined in terms of Covid protocols.

They did it in a state that is #1 in covid cases per capita that has FBS football. Wisconsin is the #2 state in covid per capita that has an FBS team, how did they do with it?

No matter what happens, the fact that CF has threads ******** about the CFP not because it might keep out a team that beat ISU by 50, but because it might keep ISU out is so awesome.

Yeah, I was really angry when TCU got dropped from 3 to 6 for no reason other than they blew us out in their final game.

This is objectively better.

Thread title didn't catch my eye so I was just about to start a thread on this. I am SHOCKED that the B1G changed the rules at the last minute and didn't do what was established at the beginning of their season. (shocked face). That is some must (not) watch TV there.

Yep. Very good 'problem' to be having.

That has to be the leagues hope and prayer.

Any thoughts of having EIU play Iowa State in a bowl game should be dismissed immediately because of one of two things that it would mean. The first, if it were to happen, means it would elevate EIU into a better bowl than they deserve or, if it were to happen, would mean it would drag Iowa State down to a lesser bowl.

Right. Not to mention, that ISU has beaten multiple teams with winning records. Their argument is against a ISU’s 2-2 recorded versus ranked teams. One in the opener due to COVID issues and the other to a ranked team on the road by 3.

Meanwhile, every excuse possible is being made for tosu and the b10 moves its schedules around to prop up tosu, ui, iu and nw. Not to mention their CFP rankings, given who they have actually played and beaten. B10 win/loss results look a lot more interesting without being propped up by an easy nonconference slate.

In the end... I would rather be on the side with sportsmanship and integrity than the side of greed.

Did you miss what the B12 did? Until yesterday, if either ISU or OU couldn't play the CCG due to Covid then the standings remained as currently ranked in regular season play. However, now they have said if either team cannot play in the CCG then the next team in line in the conference rankings plays. The B12 is no better than the B1G.

On a related note, how would a team even prepare to play on Saturday should a CV-19 spread break out this week within OU or ISU?

I didn't see all the information, but I'm guessing that ISU would be announced as the champion and the game would be just to fill a slot so money isn't an issue. The big 12 would not want texas to win the CCG and have total confusion. I think both OU and ISU will play, but they said that to make sure Texas is ready to go just in case. The big ten changed the rules several times. The big twelve changed one to make sure a high payout game slot gets played with somebody.
