Just happy he was able to scrap together enough good coaches and partners in Ames to "finally" catch Mitch.....
This is a BIG deal. Great wins and now for some real fun.
I've always liked Carr, but when he battled back for 3rd at NCAAs, that's when I knew he had incredible makeup and character. Hope he continues to do great things. One of my all-time favorite ISU athletes.

He’s built both physically and mentally completely different.
Probably not the first to think it but I’ll be the first to say it. I want one of those t-shirts. Gotta have the DC gummy tee

He’s incredible. When he is locked in, not many can touch him.
No doubt the greatest/most important ISU wrestler since Cael. THE key figure in ISU's return to wrestling prominence.
He said he’s getting married in August. Is his fiancée former ISU goalie Jordan Silkowitz? She is currently goalkeeper for Bay FC.
As a 4 time finalist, 2 time champion, and gold medalist, Jake Varner is certainly in the argument as the greatest since Cael. That said I agree that David has definitely been the most important and visible for the program.
Since Varner is really one of Cael's guys, I think Carr is the one to focus on. Varner was great, but Carr was the rebirth of our program.
We has amazing talent when Cael left. I really wish we could have gotten that one title the year after he was gone.
