It was nice chatting with all of you in the lead up to the bowl game. I thought that the game would be close, and actually predicted that Iowa State would win because of all of the turmoil that ND experienced with the firing of the OC.

I would be interested in hearing your thoughts on the game. From my perspective, it was a pretty typical ND performance. The defense was good all year apart from the offense hanging them out to dry and wearing down in the Michigan game. The offense was pretty sloppy, missing some easy throws and just not executing as well as it seems like they should. I think that the two quick turnovers in the first quarter obviously set a bad tone for you that was going to make it nearly impossible to recover from.

How do you feel about your program, where it stands right now, and does this game change your opinion about where you're heading?

Not to take anything away from ND, but ISU is a REALLY bad football team right now.

Imagine how bad the score could have been if ND really wanted to be there and their players weren't out partying every night and hungover every day. It would have been really ugly.

Today proved for certain that our team was vastly overrated/underachieved, we really aren't much better than our record. We were roundly bad in all phases today. It's never good for us when our most consistent players on the field are punter and kicker. Our OL was turnstiles the entire game, the defense was out of sorts and beat multiple times for chunk yardage (on telegraphed plays), the rest of the offense was very streaky at best. Poor execution across multiple areas.

They are young and have put in the time and are very good recrutiers. But I, and others, have always been concerned about their inexperience in the X's and O's. We were clearly out schemed today. That and they should have known you wanted to create fumbles and we put it on the ground twice early.

No, no, the defense was amazing because other teams are also playing a 3 man front!

We have an offensive coordinator that isn't smart enough to run a qb sneak on 4th and inches. That's all you need to know about this football program right now.

Notre Dame was just better. . They kicked ISU's ass today. I think ISU will be fine. Still a pretty young team. Looks like Notre Dame is going to be a contender next year.
