Evan to 41, AE 49, and Jacob to 57?

Would leave us with a bunch of tough guys at 33 and maybe one will make a jump to AA contention?
I really liked what I saw out of Grice late in the year. He’s a guy I think could jump a level at 133 if Evan or Reineri are not options there for whatever reason.

I was not high on Grice to start the season. I think he was cutting too much at 125. But he really impressed in the Missouri dual.

If Reineri is eligible than 133 is covered. But if not we have Meza, Grice, Osmany who are all very solid. I’d expect any of them to be an NCAA qualifier, and hope that one will make a jump to an AA contender.

Good offseason fodder to chew on with Jacob maybe going 157 to challenge Paniro. What changes moving to that weight from a wrestling perspective that would lend its hand to either of those guys? Ie wrestling stlye, speed, strength, build etc. Who would your expect to win that spot and why?

Remind me with Reineri are we legitimately feeling we have a claim to get him a year back or are we banking on the NCAA being more liberal with eligibility and handing them out more freely?

I have no idea. It sounds like people are optimistic that he will get another year. I assume it is largely due to the NCAA being more liberal with eligibility.

Just my opinion but Paniro and Jacob both seem short for 157 and would have a tough time with length of other top guys in the weight.

As for a wrestle off who knows, but I know who I’d favor in the 3rd period.

133 Ortega
141 AE/Evan Frost
149 AE/Evan or Jacob Frost
157 Jacob Frost
Probably a stretch, but those Frost boys looked big in those pictures from Humboldt.
We do this every year with all of them. I think we all need to take two steps back on this.

Fair.
Hate to say it but I forgot about PJ. If everyone gets and stays healthy, I feel good about what’s ahead.
