Our awesome day in Florida just got even better. Thanks to you Cyclone Fanatics, I just sent $1891 to the GoFundMe for Jeff Hall's medical treatment.
We collected $4229. We spent approximately $2735 on food, drink, and supplies. And I excluded $397 for leftovers that I kept and/or gave to a nearby homeless shelter, so that it wouldn't take away from our contribution to the GoFundMe.

I had tons of people express appreciation for the tailgate. Many of us get thrown off our tailgate rhythm when we go to bowl games, so it is fun to have a tailgate destination. Glad we were able to help.
It couldn't have happened without @Iajeff6785 and @HyCyde who drove to Orlando and hauled the gear down-and-back. These guys and several others also helped us manage the details before, during, and after the tailgate.
And thanks to all who participated. It was great to see at least 150 CycloneFanatics enjoying themselves on a perfect Florida day.

We are saddened to report that things took a turn for the worse this week Jeff Hall, the beneficiary of our Orlando Tailgate fundraiser. He died on Wednesday morning with his family by his side.
Ross Peterson mentioned it on KXNO Sports Fanatics and I wanted to report it here too. Jeff Hall had become a folk-hero to many of us as we heard the stories of how he helped so many young people as a shop teacher for Des Moines East High School. It was an honor for us to be able to support him and his family during his last month.
The following was posted on his GoFundMe page:
"It is with a heavy heart that I must inform you that Jeff was called home the morning of Wednesday January 19 with his loving family at his side. Jeff mentioned many times how thankful he was for all of your thoughts, prayers, monetary assistance and for personally reaching out to him. Jeff put up a courageous and brave battle and left behind quite a legacy with so many great memories with such a large circle of family and friends. He will be greatly missed by all that he touched."
