I see Paniro Johnson is in the semifinals at 152. Has number seed next. Are there any other Cyclone recruits wrestling in this event?

Casey Swiderski got beat in the quarters at 132 and has us on his list

Zerban was in the tourney and the one of the Manville boys has visited Iowa State multiple times and Carson is at 170

Looks like Paniro beat RJ Weston, #9 at 152 on Flo in the quarterfinals.

Lost to Ferrari, the 1-seed and #4 on Flo.

Very strange 3rd place match for Johnson. Was winning 5-4 in the third period. He was in on a single leg and used a foot sweep to finish the takedown as his opponent jumped up in the air. Opponent landed awkwardly on his head/neck. As far as I could tell, they said he couldn’t go on and Johnson lost by DQ.

Tough end to his tournament, but he looked good, and should’ve got 3rd place.

First time watching him wrestle. Shorter, but looks very strong and explosive. Saw him finish a blast double, get in on an inside single, then his last takedown that got him DQ’d was a low single around the ankle.

Looks like a 149 in college to me.
