Did we ever have a memorial decal on the helmets for hicks? He died in late november and then there was a coaching change. Did this get missed??

I cant confirm it with a picture but I am almost positve we had a black circle with the number 27 in white on the helmet.

agree, I looked through those and the rest of the season. If the ribbon was for Stevie, it was only the Iowa game. Strange. And yellow ribbon is usually support our troops. Anyone with more knowledge on this?

The Iowa game was on 9/12, so it was likely either a military tribute or a 9/11 tribute.

Yes, probably. I really don't think we gave a helmet decal to him. His death was after the season in 11/08. New coach came in. No evidence of a decal on the North Dakota State game 8/09 that opened the season.

Why, because I want to know if we honored a fallen clone like we did pete taylor, chris love, ennis haywood, dwayne crutchfield...the only thing in poor taste is if we didn't honor him.

I didn't ask him that, His wife tweeted back too and said yes could tweet John Walters or Brett Meyer , or Austin he was on team.?Maybe they did it the next year ? Not sure I can't find a picture either ?

Why would you need visual evidence. If Ben Bruns confirms it, I would think that would be good enough for you.
