It is about courtesy and being there for the team.
I have stayed out of this (for the most part until today).
In general
- all fans should be up more than down (esp on 3rd down, big plays, etc)
- when someone is standing, that is great if they are being a strong fan.
- someone who yells at someone to sit down (without being polite) and someone who feels it is their god given right to stand are equally being *****.
-I have a spouse who is 5' and to girls (13 and 11). When everyone is standing they struggle to see. All I ask is for someone to be courteous. Someones right to stand does not trump someones right to see the game (see how security would handle it). If you are the only person standing, then ask yourself, who is the odd person out.
-Everyone has an opinion on this and this is an annual thread topic. Next up will be leaving games early, out at half, and leaving Hilton early. It is what it is.
-My pet peeve, those who feel they have to stand all game telling others to stay home. Wow, talk about being a poster child for a tavern hawk. (IE: totally ignorant fan).
Carry on.
