Spring TE Writeup

I love an offense that utilizes the TE position. Could not effectively fill in for Bibbs last year.

Glad Fernandez is in for Spring Ball. I think he takes start from Chandler.

I would still love to see Chandler, Fernandez or Soehner in the F position in some redzone situations. They would make the DC have to account for them as both blocker and receiver. Just the size alone on Chandler and Soehner could get us that extra yard.

I think Anderson could get some reps at TE. He is a former offensive lineman. Re-looking at his HS tape, he was a very good edge blocker and was effective at blocking LBs and DBs in space. I have no idea if he can catch a pass, but I like the idea of having another physical blocker for Warren. Really hard to predict this position because there is no real experience.

Chandler must have really poor skills. He looks like the biggest dude on the team in pregame warmups.

Didn't Chandler make a big catch or two late in the season? I remember predicting that he would be surprisingly good and telling people "I told you so." He is an impressive-looking guy in person.

He had 2 catches last season. Both were pretty good gains though.

I have pretty high (unrealistic) expectations for this offense with a solid running game, mobility of Joel, and some improved TE's. -
