What are you fanatics wearing? I currently have the original Garmin Vivoactive and it has been very reliable. I am looking to upgrade. Right now I am debating the Apple Watch or the new garmin vivoactive 3. I need my watch to at a minimum have GPS ( for running) and give notification. I like to think I use my watch now for more “fitness” purposes than “smart” purposes. Any suggestions?

I also use the Garmin vivoactive and love it. It's super lightweight and not nearly as bulky as many other smartwatches so I feel like I can wear it almost anytime. The new vivoactive looks intriguing, but I'll probably continue to use mine for a while since it does most everything I need (primarily used for running/cycling). The one thing that would be nice is a HR monitor, but it's not a deal breaker for me.

Garmin 235. Downloaded a different “face” to it and it’s been steady for a long time.

Same for me. I'm an avid runner and it works great. Love all the data that it takes in from activities and is easy to view in the Garmin website and app.

I always used the fitbit starting with the charge and then the Surge with built in GPS and finally with the Blaze and then just carried my phone for the GPS. I then ended up getting an Apple 7+ phone and so started looking at the apple watches and figured out I wanted the Apple watch 2 Nike + edition. That is now the best watch I have ever had. It's waterproof, built in GPS, Endless face changes you can make, the Nike + app has a bunch of cool running functions and if you don't like that you can download another fitness app. It's light and does a lot. BUt you have to have an iphone to make it work correctly.

Yes they are spendy but I just went on Facebook marketplace and found one that someone bought and ended up not using. Ended up getting one that was $400 new and I got it almost new for $225. So that is an option.
