Sims information

Do you realize how much of a hypocrite this makes us look like? If Sims is innocent, then he plays, if he is guilty, he needs to be punished, either by suspensions or kicked off the team. We sit here on our high horse and ***** about the way Iowa puts there guys out on the field after legal problems. If CPR allows Sims to play if he is guilty, then we are no different.

Not all of us sit on a high-horse and whine about Iowa constantly. Most of us understand that sometimes problems will happen when your talking about 100 18-23 year olds. It is flat-out pathetic that some fans main concern is how everything we do compares to Iowa.

And unfortunately, that seems to be the most vocal faction of the ISU fanbase, which is why the inferiority complex seemingly fits so well.

Dont remember their charges, but straight from the Gazette, "Kirk Ferentz is taking a chance on these two guys." I believe it was even a headline.

So how about a link? I followed recruiting pretty close back then and I just don't remember these kids having issues before they got to Iowa City.

I'm sure that they did not, and I am sure those guys only had to commit one act of theft to get removed from the team. Read my prior post a few up the page. This guy is trying to make us look bad.

So since the other thread turned into a battle of urination...

Not sure how anyone thought this thread wouldn't go the same route. Should we try another?

Maybe if we ask nicely to keep it on topic this time, everyone will cooperate... and stick to just posting rumors and "I know something you don't know..."

This I lived in Eastern Iowa when this happened, people forget they were caught for theft TWICE, suspended the first time and then kicked off the team. This situation is not even close, this is Sims' first run in with the law, plus those two guys were from Detroit who had been in trouble before coming to Iowa.

Might want to go back and check out the facts.

You might want to get banned.

Go check out the online courts search and tell the group how many theft charges the young man had at the point he was dismissed. And then tell us how many he has currently in the Iowa courts system look up. I'll make it easy on you - it is the same number and it isn't higher than 1.

They should give the OP the power to delete say the last 4 pages of bickering. Please just rumors and facts pertaining to Sims. This is not a Clayborne or Iowa thread.

He is right on Dominique Douglas.

Douglas was originally suspended for the credit card issue in August of 2007....while still suspended he was arrested for stealing DVDs in October and permanently dismissed from the team.

I have yet to hear or see anything about Douglas being in trouble before getting to Iowa City. It was actually quite the contrary...he won a few academic awards in high school and was chosen to attend the Super Bowl in some capacity as a student-reporter due to his character and off the field achievement.
