I could see Michigan hiring Deboer, Bama reaching out to Swinney, and Clemson opens.
Would you trust a medical doctor? I think not. I've seen enough true-to-life soap operas to know this.

I think Swinney has damaged himself beyond repair for the Alabama job. I'm not even sure where Bama would go simply because they aren't going to accept an outsider because of DeBoer's 'failure'.

DeBoer seems like he is going to perpetually be in the hot seat at Bama. I could see him getting out of the SEC, to a school that has more resources, in a job where he’d have a lot more security. Shoot he might get a raise too.

Very well could happen, Swinney seemed like he burnt a lot of bridges this year at Clemson, and he played at Alabama. Better to be the guy following the guy that follows the legend than being the first guy. Saban would be a tall order to follow up and Alabama does not have a ton of outside money rolling into their program, like other schools have.
