I am really fired up for this season, in both women's and men's, however they put up an article about the men's season starting on Friday on Cyclone.com, but have put nothing so far about the women playing on Thursday against Midwestern State in the exhibition. Can't wait to get this started!.

Did you notice on the "Game Notes" pdf they have "fal-lin" as the pronunciation guide for Burkhall? Need to get that corrected.

Projected starters include Kidd, Jadda, and Seanna, as expected. Carleton and Baier are also projected to start. Carleton isn't a big surprise given how much BF has talked her up. I'm assuming Baier is starting over Fernstrom due to punishment or suspension from the incident a few weeks ago.

During today's media session, BF confirmed that Carleton will start and said Burkhall might start too (presumably in place of Baier above). He also said Starks won't play tomorrow due to a concussion she suffered yesterday.

I always get excited when WB gets started. Looks like it's about time for me to sign up for a few months of Cyclone TV. Baylor opened their season with an exhibition against A&M Commerce last night. Their best player, Nina Davis was up at ESPN headquarters being interviewed for Media Day. We got to see the new freshmen posts and the Duke transfer, Alexis Jones. I will not be surprised if she doesn't lead the league in scoring. Very exciting player.

I can tell by what I've read so far on this forum that you folks are also excited up there to open up the season. I will try to watch as many games as possible. I hope some of Ya'll will start a few game threads during the season. If not, don't be surprised if I don't . Can't stand to watch a game on screen and not put my 2 cents worth in every now and then.

Think with Jones, Baylor will be playing in the final with UConn this year. Hope they are on opposite brackets. Also think Baylor should have been ranked higher.

With Niya and Alexis at the 1/2 good grief that is a scary backcourt, and a key position that was bit of weakness for Byalor last year.

BF, all three frosh will be in the rotation, they are top 6 to 7.

Bummed not to see Starks, hope it doesn't linger.

I think Baier probably will start because she is a senior. Nobody will see a lot of minutes as BF will probably play all the rotation in a lot of different lineups. I am excited to finally get this started. A 2017 verbal may be in the stands tonight Go Sisters...

I can't watch the game live because I have stuff going on tonight. Kind of hope I get snowed out. Hard to hear that about Bryanna. She has such great ability. Hope she is alright.

“Part of that is we haven’t had the whole team together for one practice yet. (Seanna Johnson) has missed a lot of time. Jadda’s missed time, now TeeTee’s missing, so some of that will come over the length of the preseason.”

Fennelly said Johnson will play about 20 minutes. She’s been battling a knee injury for most of the preseason. Before practice on Wednesday, she was on the court inside Hilton with her right leg in a brace, taking shots from around the free-throw line.
