Just saw it. Honestly, I thought this was the best one since 2. I thought the plot was actually decent and there was something to follow besides the games.

I wonder if this will be the last one? Didn't the writers or producers or somebody sign a 7 movie contract?
Tobin Bell is signed through 8. David Hackl is producing 7 and it will be in 3-D. He was an assistant on 2, 3,4, then he was in charge of 5. There was a different guy for 6 but I cannot remember his name.
Ohh ok, so there will be at least 8? I can't wait for the final one to see how they finally end it.
EDIT: actually, they won't end it, they will leave the door open for another, just in case.
Me too. Actually I got the movie today through Netflix and I was not the least bit excited to see it because the last three haven't been that good IMO. Now I am excited for 7. If you don't watch through the credits on 6, you miss a HUGE thing at the end. It really leaves me wondering.
I was watching something about that, and it basically explained how they come up with those contraptions on the limited budget they are on. Can't exactly remember, but they basically go into a scrap metal/weird gadget place and throw together weird looking devices. :biglaugh:
Not even that, it looked like they just went and found some rusty pieces of old metal and welded them together to make it look like a torture device.
I don't have the mind like they do though, to even think of a device some of those guys come up with.
I thought I saw an interview where they said that for the first movie they took lots of inspiration for torture devices from the Inquisition and middle ages.
I thought the worst was the falling ceiling at the end of 6 that injected the guy with whatever acid that was.

That one was pretty gross. Another bad one was when that guy was trapped in that room where the walls closed in and crushed him to death, nice and slowly. (Maybe in Saw 4 or 5?)

I don't know anymore which is which from 3 on. I though 6 really had a good plot line and had some stories and such to follow. I hope they stay with that and it sounds like they are trying to.
Oh yeah, especially since they were doing that under their own control and not forced by a machine or anything. I don't think I could do that to myself.

Okay I just saw the first Saw movie and it was pretty good. Definitely not what I was expecting. The question I have is can I watch them out of order and still get it. I'd like to skip the boring ones if possible. I'll just read the plot summaries on Wikipedia.
eh... That's a good question. All of them are somewhat tied together. You could watch them out of order, but there might be some scenes that you wouldn't understand or get confused at times. I'd watch them all in order if I were you, just because... :biglaugh:
