Recruits & Transfers

I see 2x state champ Wyatt Reisz visited practice today. 57/65 type guy, really solid kid.
Good to hear!!

In an earlier post, I highlighted the video of Logan-Magnolia (Lo-Ma) freshman Corbin Reisz's match (Wyatt's younger brother, I believe) against top-ranked sophomore Eli Becerra of Missouri Valley, in the Western Iowa Conference finals

After Molly's match and a brief commercial, is another good match at 113, between Eli Becerra of Missouri Valley and Corbin Reisz of Logan-Magnolia. Becerra, a sophomore, finished 2nd at state last year, and is ranked 1st this year. Corbin Reisz, a freshman, was ranked 8th at the time of this match. These guys really go at it. ...

At state, Corbin Reisz went on to finish 3rd -- winning out after losing 5-4 against Becerra in the 2nd round. Becerra finished 1st -- both as I posted later on in the same thread:

Becerra’s matches:
Fall, 1:27
Won, 5-4
MDec, 9-1
Fall, 3:05, for 1st

Reisz’s matches:
Fall, 2:47
Lost, 4-5
Consolations:
Fall, 1:57
Fall, 3:06
MDec, 17-6
Fall, 1:56, for 3rd

I know some were suggesting Paniro may have a medical condition that effects his conditioning… if you watch the full video KD ain’t having it. He’s pushing him to work harder, be mentally tough. Love it.

Guys I saw going together:
Ethan Perryman vs Todd Small
Paniro Johnson vs Casey Swiderski
MJ Gaitan vs Julien Broderson
MJ Gaitan vs Manny Rojas
Julien Broderson vs Marcus Coleman
Manny Rojas vs Marcus Coleman
Nate Schon vs Yonger Bastida

I’d like to see some of those go’s

Wasn’t it Kraisser that was taking it to Paniro?

Nah it's Swiderski, he's wearing the same shoes as he was earlier in the video when they were playing bomb squad
Yeah I’m pretty sure it was Swiderski. I’ve seen that ankle pick before in his matches against Mendez

Gaitan had 3 wins and one loss to come away with Silver in Mexico Greco. Hearing McCrae Hagarty has decided to wrestle instead of play football in college. Our coaches are after him and we are in the mix.
Anyone hear how Helgeson is doing? How is Perryman looking?

Generally grayshirts will be room fillers. May see the lineup if someone gets hurt or they push through the whole time available.

Getting a stud 197 either through the portal or recruiting would allow Yonger to go on full feed instead of killing himself with the weight cut and then be a 240 lb tough as iron heavyweight for 2 years.

I'd prefer a ready-made and hopefully soon portal guy at 197 if I had my preference.

Wouldn’t you just tell that animal he can go wherever he wants?
