There isn’t much the silky smooth senior can’t do on a basketball court, and he had his talents on full display this past week. The senior posted 38 points, 10 steals and eight assists in a rout of Young Coggs Prep and then had 25 points in a victory over fifth-ranked Kimberly to keep the top-ranked Spartans unbeaten.

LW will start. If anybody goes from starting to coming off the bench it's young. Easily. You wanna go off stats and what players give to the team, Cameron Lard has been much more valuable than Solomon so far.

This is a laughable as LW not starting, Young won both the Iowa and UNI games with his play on the defensive end. Lard is great but he's not bumping Solomon out of the lineup, Young will be starting here the next 2 and a half years.

Also a pretty good read on Haliburton. Glad he expects to have to learn under Babb year before contributing. Sounds like a modest kid ready to work for playing time.

My thinking there was if Beverly can do it, then THT should be able to as well. About the same size but he has a longer wingspan, he's more athletic, better shot blocker and a bigger mismatch on offense. I just hope at some point Prohm is willing to start Lard and Young because our best lineup would be Babb, Wigginton, Shayok, Lard and Young.

They are almost the same height but Beverly is 250 pounds THT is not lol.

And where THT loses on the 30 pounds he gains athleticism, wingspan, the ability to block a shot and is a bigger mismatch on offense. I don't think he'll play much at the 4 but I'm just saying if ISU wants to go small, it wouldn't be that much different than it is now playing Beverly at the 4.

It would be interesting if Prohm went to full-court presses more frequently due to the depth/athleticism on the team, such as Huggins did a few years ago. Can you imaging teams trying to bring the ball up against Lard playing the point of the press? Would throw off the other team from time to time such as after a time out. It could also energize the team which plays better when playing at a faster pace.

Extremely excited about Zion. Seems like he doesn't have a whole lot on his team and it has impacted his exposure and stats a bit. Imagine if he was on Simeon with THT. Not saying Messiah Jones isn't good but I think THT is a big reason why he's having the year he is.

Agree 100 percent that he won't be in the NBA next year, but odds would still be higher for that to happen than LW not starting next year.

There won't be 5 guys better than LW in the Big12 next year; so let's go ahead and table the idea that if he isn't starting for ISU, it's because he's coming off of our bench.

He’s the best FR we’ve had since Fizer.

Babb, Wigginton and Shayok are 100% locks to start next year.

Young and Lard are both like 90% likely to start.
