Recruit Lists v2.0

Let it go, guys. Jesus ******. We have a stud SG from that very school on our team and still we make snide remarks about Findlay Prep. You know who gives a **** about Rashad Vaughn? Not this guy.

We are lucky to have Naz, and he seems like a good kid, but that doesn't make Findlay Prep any less of a farce. Read into it. It is a joke, and exactly what is wrong with the whole system that is college basketball recruiting. It richly deserves our ridicule.

Know where i can find any of the stories you are talking about? I would actually enjoy reading up on what really goes on there

Naz wasn't a high profile recruit and thus probably didn't have the same "attention" given to him by those around him.

I've read all about it, and I'm not here to debate its legitimacy. In fact, I agree with you. I just think it's time to let it go. Comments about paying recruits just come off as sour grapes to me, and seems silly months after the fact. We're better than that.

Calls on 2017 Goanar Mar in last 36 hours from: Iowa State, Xavier, Michigan, Texas A&M, Kansas State, Oregon State, UNI, Tulsa

Looks like a guy about to blow up and according to rivals, another guy that we were the first to offer:

http://sports.yahoo.com/ncaa/basketball/recruiting/player-Goanar-Mar-157437

2017 is so far away. Too bad it will be a couple years before the fruits of our recruiting labor are revealed with Mar. Also, it's too bad the "first to offer" thing only works for a certain personality. We offered Niang first and he loved it. We offered many many guys first and they don't really care. I hope Mar is like Niang.

Yeah Good ol Roy will find out about him now because we offered.

Regarding Naz. He is a cyclone legend in my book after those two games against Okie St. this past seasonimho

Naz's three against North Carolina with Roy Williams screaming at his players to guard him is legendary as well.

I just rewatched that game a few days ago. Roy's constant head shaking and squatting-while-screaming never fails to bring a smile to my face. I'll likely watch it a few more times before next season.

2017 Cass Tech (MI) F Donnie Tillman has received an offer from Iowa State. @d_tillman32 http://verbalcommits.com/players/donnie-tillman …

Can't find a profile on him being a 2017 recruit, but sounds like he is a 6'6" small forward from Michigan, and one of the top players from the state in his class. Size 17 shoes, so maybe he is still growing too.

According to Tillman's Verbal Commits profile he has three scholarship offers: Cleveland State, ISU and... UNLV. He is also receiving interest from Michigan, Michigan State and Ohio State. I would love to steal talent from the state of Michigan year after year.

Yeah, I don't think I'll ever forget exactly how that Naz 3 against North Carolina played out. One of my favorite ISU moments ever. It starts out by us setting up the break. The camera then quickly pans to a close-up on Roy Boy pointing, screaming, and going ballistic over whatever he was pointing at down the floor. While not a single ISU fan watching the game on TV could see anything of what was happening on the court, EVERY single fan could guess EXACTLY at what he was pointing at, which was a wide open Naz Long on the break. The best part too is that at that point, it wasn't a matter of ISU getting excited because Naz was open and would get a chance to make a wide-open 3, but rather that Naz WILL make a wide open 3. As far as I was concerned, the minute Roy pointed, I smiled and already tacked 3 points onto our score. Done deal.

Iowa actually offered before us.

The following is a new Rivals update on Jarvis and only confirms what has been long suspected, that we are likely cooling on him a bunch. According to the article, he doesn't even list us in the list of schools contacting him much at all. Maybe what rivals saw when they starting dropping his recruiting ranking a bunch is also what has turned CFH off some. However, Jarvis is still hanging in the top 150, which isn't a slouch at all. I've definitely got no bones about taking any top 150 guys still.

It is really too bad Jarvis hasn't turned into the guy CFH is looking for right now simply from the aspect that if we were to want him, beings how his sister goes here, I'd think we'd have a decent chance at landing him. Oh well, in CFH we trust.

Fixed, mostly because it's fun watching Gophers fan's heads explode when Hoiberg's name is mentioned.

With only two scholarships remaining, Monte Morris, Clayton Custer and a more than capable combo guard in Hallice Cooke, it makes sense why we cooled on Jarvis Johnson. I'm not saying I don't want him but the need is somewhere else.
