Recruit Lists v2.0

Can i just say that I love Matt A? I love his attitude when it comes to recruiting. He's a heart on his sleeve guy, and as a fan, I really appreciate that.

Just ask him out already. Haha, he's going to start landing some elite guys soon. This guy is persistent and has a great program to sell to the high schooler's out there.

I'm guessing NYC is Diallo and LA is that USC transfer (giggity!). No clue about the other guys.

I doubt Wesley is coming to ISU after the BDJ signing. There are a lot of good HS prospects in California he could be scouting.

It could be a tournament type thing where he's catching HS players from other areas, but maybe those haven't started yet.

If not, I would say juco or transfer. We haven't really recruited Cali HS's previously from what I can tell.

I fee like our coaches are in 100% transfer mode at the moment, because transfer recruiting only lasts from late March through May.

No but like, except all those top 150 high school recruits we got. Those were all FH and TJ. :jimlad:

Honest question: who was the main recruiter for all the guys on the team? I assume Mann got Morris, and I thought Hoiberg was the main guy for Niang and Otz for Thomas, but that's all I know. I have no idea for Long, McKay, Hogue, Nader. Custer.

You're right for the ones you said. It gets muddy because FH does more recruiting than a lot of coaches.

I think Matt A and FH are a big part of every single recruit we get to be honest. I think Matt is the young guy who can relate to and have fun with the guys. (Not that FH can't because he is great at that, FH's strengths are obvious)

Mann is our Michigan pipeline guy and I would say Sadler is mostly an Xs and Os coach.

Matt A is the main guy on most tranfers including JUCOs and FH obviously helps as well.

I think FH grasps how important it is to kids to have the head coach involved.

Sadler probably helps with JUCOs too.

Isnt Boston someone that would have gone to school with Georges at Tilton?

Hope we hear who we are hard after soon:

Matt Abdelmassih@mabde33 7m
LA to VEGAS to NYC to BOSTON to SFRAN to SAC in the next 9 days. Lets do this! Gotta find the next one! #cyclonenation #thefuture

my guesses:

LA = ?
Vegas = BDJ wrap up
NYC = home, Cheick Diallo, Matt Ryan
Boston = Ryan Anderson (Boston College transfer), AJ Turner is in prep school in New Hampshire (hour and a half from Boston)
San Fran = ?
SAC = ?

Aren't all those locations where all these high school AAU tournaments or such are held? Just a guess. Some of those locations may not be for specific guys but rather scoping out the field. Go Matt A.

@TravisHines21: Elsewhere in recruiting news: ISU had in-home visits with both Henry Ellenson (WI, '15) and Ryan Anderson (BC transfer) today, per a source.

Ellenson probably at least partly the reason Matt A will be in Sacramento on his recruiting trip. Have to like that.

Also, someone with video skills needs to make a highlight tape of Niang and get it to Ellenson. I know I've seen tape of Ellenson bring the ball up the floor and a lot of places won't be too supportive of that.
