Recruit Lists v2.0

Two big weekend events to watch, the first right down in Des Moines and the second up in the Twin Cities. Both will likely have members of the Iowa State staff in attendance. Des Moines features Clayton Custer as well as Jarvis Johnson & Reid Travis among others. The Twin Cities event will include Rashad Vaughn, Henry Ellenson, Amir Coffey and more.
Any word on where we stand with the blue chips we are going after for 2014 (vaughn, terrell etc.)?

Travis Reid seems like he would be a big get. Custer, Vaughn, Reid and O'Mara would be a perfect class.

I don't like o'mara seems undersized for what he is, we need some better length. Hopefully custer pans out, reid travis seems to be an undersized 4 like niang, could be good if he can get out and run. Would love vaughn and terrell for obvious reasons, would like some elite length though, that team wouldn't have anyone over 6'8" besides percy.

O'Mara is a 6'-9" 220#+ HS Jr. I don't think he'll be undersized.

i'm hoping for 6-10/ 6-11 stretch type, like washington or mccoulagh, 2 of the guys we've tried to recruit

I don't think ISU will land Terell. Vaughn is a possibility as is Travis. Possibly Abu also but most in the know say UCONN leads for him. O'Mara would be great. Not sure what's undersized about 6'9 220. Not many up tempo teams have 7 footers because its hard to find guys that big who are willing and able to run the floor and those that are/can are usually blue blood bound.

O'mara is 6'9 but that does not mean he can't grow and inch or two. So far that is one thing he is good at. Growing.

One thing is for certain, 2014 class needs an impact Big. If we have to go Juco again and get some players averaging 8 points and 5 fouls again, we will be in trouble everytime Percy needs rest.

You got that right. An impact big, hopefully someone that can bang in the paint versus a stretch the floor 3-point shooter, IMO. And then a wing that can shoot the rock to go with Custer. Obviously we are sitting pretty good at the 4 and 2 spots right now.

I disagree. I think O'Mara is a gem. Heard Illinois is after him hard!

No, but by the time 2014 comes along, he will be considered a good big, maybe one of the best ones in the conference with as much experience he will have.
Yep, and we would be okay if we got another Percy in 2014. Obviously you hope to get someone considered an impact guy, but I am not going to panic if we do not.

If he were to commit I would be ecstatic.

Did an update to the Lists today, just in names and interest/offer for the 2014, 2015 & 2016 classes. Still working on additional time to get new pages up and update the ratings and various numbers on the lists as well. Hope everyone is still finding it useful!!
