Recruit Lists v2.0

I can't wait until we land one of these guys. Eventually one of them will fall in love with Hilton and strike up a relationship with Fred and the team. Until then, I am pretty happy about where we are.

Yeah, cause you have to pay a guy to go to Kansas or Kentucky...he would never want to go there for any other reasons. Good grief.

KU built a great deal of their prestige in shady ways. Wilt Chamberlain, Danny Manning, Mario Chalmers, etc... Is it still going on today? Who knows.

There's a diffeence between shady things allowed by the rules and things NOT allowed by the rules. Paying players is not allowed by the rules. To say that "everyone knows it's happening" at these schools just stinks of sour grapes. In recruiting in general, fans seem to think that almost ANY school that lands a player that the fan wanted must have done it by paying them. It's as lame as saying the refs are to blame for a loss.

All I ever said was a lot of KU's prestige was built on BS and taking advantage of the system. Yes, it was documented that Wilt got paid thousands upon thousands of dollars. KU downright told him they'd pay more than any other school. Want me to pull out the article? Manning said he was a UNC lock before KU hired his father. Weird that they would hire the father of the #1 prep prospect arguably ever at the time then threaten to fire him if he didn't win the recruiting battle for his son. Similar story with Chalmers. On and on...it is ridiculous.

If it's legal I have no problem with Fred hiring Mary Poppins to get her son to ISU.

Said about most schools this may be true. KU? Well, they play by a different set of rules, so I suppose it is still true.

If you don't think that players at virtually every major NCAA program, ISU included, have boosters putting some pocket money into players pockets them you are naive.

There are knucklehead KU fans that make the same, lame allegations. People just don't like to be spurned so they invent lame excuses that make it seem like it was never a fair competition. Stupidity is universal.
