While I dont think that should be unsportsmanlike either, that was a much more pronounced 'change of stride' or whatever term the refs hang their hat on.

I Know, I live under a rock! Who is John Walters?
By rule, probably a foul.

Totally agree. Rules require good judgement by officials. Not done in this case.By rule, maybe because the rule leaves it so much in the officials' hands. By rule, anyone going into the endzone doing anything other than normal stride running could be flagged for taunting and a score taken off the board. Slow your run down? Taunting. Pump your fist on the two? Taunting. Clap the ball between your hands? Taunting. The rule is a terrible rule that should've never been put in place, especially with a complete lack of definition of what taunting is.
You could call holding on every single play. But they don't. Because that would be dumb. Just use common sense. These guys sucked at that.

Key & Peele - McCringleberry's Excessive Celebration. Well worth the 4 minutes to watch.
I smell another apology letter coming from the Big 12. Just hang it on the wall with the others.
So they picked up the defensive holding flag, apparently because they decided it wasn't egregious enough to be a penalty. Why couldn't they have done the same thing on this call?
