Did OSU require special treatment, that no one else got? Regardless. Did Nebby get that treatment? Did Iowa? Were all schools dealing with the same things? Or just OSU?
I would not say "Most" on this board dont count 2020. I believe the majority here count our NY6 win that year. But there are some out there that believe our accomplishments that year mean more because we managed the issues that year better than others. Its not like everyone in the country didnt have the same challenges, so those that managed them better than others came out on top, except OSU that got special treatment and rules changed to benefit only them.
Right on. 2020 absolutely counts!
If a program or conference approached it like a train wreck, that is on them.
ISU and the Big Xii took it head on and succeeded. So did the SEC and the ACC,
FWIW, Only the B1G and Pac-12 bitched up.
Iowa State's 2020 season was AWESOME. 9-3 without playing two additional OOC games (Iowa and a cupcake). Could have EASILY been a 10-win season. That team was incredible with plenty of NFL talent still in the league.
So was National Champion Alabama's (13-0) which played a 10 game SEC Regular Season (missed the two worst teams that year: South Carolina and Vanderbilt) + SEC Championship game vs. Florida + Bowl win over Notre Dame (which played a full ACC season) and Ohio State in the National Championship Game.
Anybody who thinks Iowa State's 2020 season doesn't count for any reason can suck an egg.
Let's Go State!
