But it’s $1 per sub per quarter for the conference. Divide that $8-9 mil by 9 or 10 or 12…

yikes
If that’s true (which I’m skeptical as that is probably people with access to P12N on their cable package rather than real subscribers), you can shave that number by 1/3 to 1/2 losing USC, UCLA, CU and the LA/Denver markets

Yep. 2 hours have gone by since last post. I still feel really sorry for OSU and WSU. Just think if (RIP) Mike Leach would have stayed at WSU then maybe just maybe he could have got them into regular winners and they could have some sort of voice in all this.
Lesson learned: I think I'll swallow my words next time something negative about Fred Hoiberg or Matt Campbell wants to come out of my mouth. Yes, Pollard did a lot in saving Iowa State, but those (2) at least got us back in the win columns.

I bet those universities not taking BY calls earlier are now calling with urgency.... In reality, BY holds all the cards now and can dictate whatever he wants. Original offers get adjusted at some point. This could be a really good outcome for the BIG 12.

Leverage has flipped back to BY in the last 24 hours. Yesterday reports indicated Arizona didn't want to leave ASU and UU and preferred a package deal of all three. BY probably would have accepted that even though our media partners indicated they did not want to pay for ASU and UU at this time.

Now, BY can simply say no, just Arizona.

I think the Big 12 should do divisions subdivided into pods subdivided into protected rivals...:jimlad:

that is what I was wondering. How many of the subscribers are from the LA area? Didnt think of the Denver area. that may be huge.

Now that we've got the leverage, let's add AZ, ASU, Utah, Oregon & Washington. That gets us to 18 teams, way more than the B1G so we rename our conference The B1GGER!
