You do realize Colorado left because of the grip Texas had on the Big 12 right? Unequal revenue, moving conference offices to Dallas from KC, favorable scheduling, LHN. Texas was the root of the issues in the SWC, they were the root of the issues in the Big 12. The only thing I can thank Texas for is for keeping the Big 12 in tact in 2010 (but it was for monetary reasons, not solidarity with the rest of the Big 12).
People also like to skip over NU. They had a hand in it as well as far as I'm concerned.

Brett McMurphy is as close as you can get for a "lock" as far as college football news you can get.

Also Pete Thamel.

And then you look to local colorado sources and their 24\7 guy is reporting it as is the Denver Post

I'm kind of at that mindset at this point.

Conferences shouldnt be larger than 10 teams. But we ruined that. So **** it, lets get weird with all this ****.

At least with the larger conferences we might be able to do some **** like the big 10 did and guarantee a few of our older rivals places on the schedule.
But if a conference goes to 20, you can have 2, 10 team subdivisions. So there is that. But yeah going back 20 years to when it was pretty much all 10 team regional conferences was better.
