I can't believe I have to spell this out to you...I thought only Hawks were this dense. SURPRISE!! MST = PDT... They are the same EXACT time. The rest of the mountain TZ will NOT align with AZ until they 'fall back' from MDT to MST.

Arizona's clock time today matches the rest of the Pacific TZ right now in PDT. In November, the clock time in AZ will not change and then it will match the rest of the Mountain TZ which will be back in MST.

If you look at the rest of the country, thier clock times for each TZ is always 1 hr apart going East to West, and they remain that way because they all 'Spring ahead' and 'Fall back' together. This means that relative to the actual clock time in the rest of the US, AZ changes which TZ it aligns with.
Good thing we are getting rid of standard time after this winter.

They are fine. But in 2019 they went 7-2 in the PAC and were behind ISU in attendance at about 58k. The last year before the Rams came back they went 8-5 and drew 69k.

It’s a Rams town again. They will be good with Riley, but the idea they will come close to the Carroll days in terms of excitement is wishful thinking. At the time those were considered one of the best college teams in decades, and there were no NFL teams in town.

Now they’ve got two NFL teams to compete with. The fact that they’ll draw if they win makes them like a bunch of other teams.
Heck, listening to Tirico & Collingsworth, it doesn't even sound like a Rams town. They were talking about noise level of Bills fans tonight and 49er fans last season.

Yeah I get that but I'm more talking national media and national perception vs. in-stadium attendance numbers. SC is one of the most historically rich programs in the country. If they're a top-5 program, they're going to be in the national spotlight and a focal point of conversation by national media, especially if they have annual matchups against ND, Michigan, tOSU, PSU, etc. I'd think that matters more than if they have 12k fewer fans in the stadium.

When they had their run in the 2000s they were the THING in L.A. with celebrities being shown at the games etc. and the media ate it up.

Even if they regain football dominance that kind of brandimg will be hard to reach.

You may be right. My wife's cousins went to USC and what they've told us is that if USC is in the national hunt, the town will be all in.

It would be interesting to see (and I hope in some ways it does to regain a semblence of balance).

Pete Carroll was also very charasmatic and had a way of drawing attention and excitement.

If the Rams and Chargers leave town and they start out recruiting Bama, Georgia, and Ohio State for a few years to become a generational collection of CFB talent they could achieve that again.

I was just reading about FSU's jump to ACC and read an article from 1990? analyzing the FSU addition. It characterized FSU as historically a "basketball school". Bobby sure did change that.
He sure did!

FSU was good in the '60s with a couple of Gator Bowl wins. Then, Coach Pete left to go to Tice (different era). They slipped and went 0-11 in 1973, 1-10 in 1974 and 3-8 in 1975 before Bosden was hired from West Virginia.

In 1976 FSU went 5-6 (hot at the end of the year) in Bowden's first season.

In 1977, they went 10-2 and won the Tangerine Bowl over Texas Tech (I went to that game).

In 1978, they were 8-3, but they didn't get a Bowl Bid. Ironically, they were in contention for the 1978 Hall fo Fame Classic, but they chose Iowa State instead to play Texas A&M (I went to that game too).

1979 and 1980 were Orange Bowl years.

By the time, the ACC invited them, they were in Dynasty Mode and a National Title contender every year for 14 straight seasons starting with their 1987 team (11-1 Fiesta Bowl Champions).

You mean the networks. I couldn’t list one team that they have either lost to or beat since Vince Young beat them.
When they start playing Michigan, tOSU, Penn St., etc., along with ND, the lights are going to be a lot brighter on their regular season than they've been.

So they will get beat more and lose fan interest. “It’s Hollywood, to be expected.”

Maybe, will have to see what Riley can do. They'll continue to get elite recruiting classes.
God damn it Gonzo, let me dream. Don’t you have rivalry game to pay attention to.

Lol, this is the least stressful rivalry week/game for me in a long time. I'm fully expecting an ISU win. It's all about expectations.
Honest question. When did you last have a stressful rivalry week? I’m guessing based on your posts and what I perceive to be your priorities (family, and ISU connections) it’s been a while.
