PAC 12 has just lost their 2 biggest draws. The next 2 Washington and Oregon have applied for Big Ten membership. Stanford and Cal are in shock. PAC 12 is doomed. They know it. Oregon State and Washington State are dead weight. They know it. Arizona Schools know the Big 12 is their only shot. CU and Utah the same. No one is going to join the PAC 12. Who wants to hop on that sinking ship?

Realistically, you can switch both around and it makes sense. If Oregon Washington and Stanford go, then I could see the rest going to the Big 12. If not, I could see them going for the Texas market and leaving the midwest teams of the big 12 out as those TV sets are not a huge priority and not big brands. Maybe Kansas has a shot with BBall. I think ISU will land somewhere if this goes past 48 teams. As has been said by others in this thread already.
Change your name. You are not a Thinker. Troll maybe. Dumber maybe. But not Thinker.

Obviously you have never looked at the conference payouts, and seen the Big 12 is comfortably in 3rd and has been for years. The PAC has consistently been slipping. Before people said we lost our top 2 brands, but now the PAC lost their top two. Which means they will continue to slide farther back. The Pac has consistent issues, and has had them.

Stay in your lane. Anything outside Squawk talk is hard for you guys. We have a board for you guys that we live rent free in your heads so much that you are on our pages constantly. Its ISR. Go there or just, Go Away.

So they going to go after Big 12 schools? Each conference probably end up going after each others schools. Who will win out???

If the pac is going to continue to exist, it probably needs to find a way to expand, so its a no-brainer thing to say. And likely some members will remain no matter what. Like, even if UO\UW\Utah\UA\ASU\CU leave, that still leaves 4 schools, who themselves will likely poach schools out of the MWC into the PAC, even if that resulting PAC is a shell of what it used to be, it would be better than the current MWC

How many offering to come for less than full share?
Im sure all are. That is how that always goes. New members never get a full share. They all have to go through a "probation period" Where their share is gradually increased.

Nebraska did, and just started receiving full share a couple years ago.
Maryland and Rutgers I do not believe still get full share.

wait what? if you're gonna basically add the rest of the PAC 12 why aren't you adding OSU and WSU and instead adding SDSU and UNLV? Just based on location? Seems like a very very unlikely scenario.

Maryland and Rutgers just started getting a full share but for a very long time they didn’t

Care to elaborate on what the Big 12 leftovers would be like? who matches Oregon and Washington?

This. There's a reason expansion always works in this direction (and why the ideas of big 12 schools to minor conferences like the AAC/MAC/Etc were always wrong). Even if the PAC is decimated the members within won't be headed off to the MWC. They could be down to 4 teams, take the 8 most valuable MWC teams, and that 12 team conference would be more valuable to those 12 members than the MWC+the PAC additions because they wouldnt be sharing it with the least valuable MWC teams.

The MWC would then likely follow by taking the most valuable options out of the WAC

Because they are better choices. Could probably lump Boise and Memphis into the that same list of non Pac potential adds.

No, you don't go slumming for SDSU or UNLV. You take what you can from the Pac. Then you wait to see if the ACC implodes next. We are at 12 teams already, the only way we add is with P5 schools, no reason to promote another G5 to the big kids table. Those schools will always be available later.

this. SDSU and UNLV over Oregon State and Washington State makes no sense despite how 'little' they may offer.

You get Arizona schools, and Utah, then give your best pitch to Oregon, then when the ACC inevitably implodes you go after Duke and North Carolina

Im pretty sure Notre Dame is tied to the ACC GOR in part, but dont think its as iron clad
Why disagree with my post then post something similar lol. It is either 150 or 200 million as has been reported in the last hour on espn and by other media and twitter beat writers. Not my fault you do not like that aspect of news or reports but it is a thing lol.

To add to your point, if those schools added value for the big 12, they probably would have been added in the last decade at some point, or at least would have been considered in the last year. Any MWC school would have jumped at a big 12 offer, and will continue to, so there's no rush to invite them anyway.

And yeah, there will most definitely be ACC scraps leftover that'll be better options once the SEC\BIG rip them apart. Louisville, Pitt, etc.

There wasn’t any real talk of expansion untill USC/UCLA reached out and said they were moving away from the PAC no matter what. It forced the big tens hand and caused a lot of this to be a bit rushed. Could the big ten add Oregon and Washington, absolutely. Will they be doing it soon? All indications point to no.
Why do you spend all your time on an ISU board. I would think the MSU board would be blowing up about all of this today. Dont they like you there?

I find it strange the people like surly, you, all the hok fans that spend so much time here rather than on their own boards. I often wonder why that is. Is it because they are closet Cyclone fans? Is it because they are that disliked on their own fan boards? Is it because we live in their heads rent free so much? Really what is it? I have never been to a rival schools board. I have absolutely no need to, and absolutely no want to. I just don't understand it. Especially not to go and spend as much time as some to here.

Sometimes you guys give a little good conversation, most of the time it mostly trolling. Sometimes I think you try to come off sounding sincere but your bias to your school and conference still comes out to make it sound very trolling.

I realize we are all biased here, for ISU and the Big 12, but that is kind of the point this is an ISU board.
