What are there bylaws related to ACC GOR? I could see an option where B1G, SEC, and Big 12 give landing spots to enough ACC teams to void the GOR. For example, if the Big 10 takes 4 more like UVA, UNC, Duke, and Notre Dame, the SEC takes Clemson, Miami, Florida State, and NC State, the Big 12 takes Pitt, Louisville, GT, and VT, that is basically the full conference with a landing spot and I’d believe the GOR wouldn’t matter. Not saying this could happen, just wanting to get an idea of why the ACC GOR may not really matter.

Which teams do you think will make the cut when the elites from the SEC and B1G split off from the rest of their conferences to form the SuperLeague in 2028?
I don't feel we will ever see Super Leagues after Big10 & SEC dump teams. No way middling SEC or Big10 teams want to be bottom feeders in a Super League.

The next push by elites will be uneven revenue sharing. For example Tha Ohio State will gladly take $150M annually. AND Iowa, Indiana, Illinois will thankfully take $75M annually to be part of the League.

Don't get me wrong. All those teams make sense for the Big 12. But the Big 10 has a presence in the central and Eastern time zone, and those are biggest by far. The eastern has 47.6% and the central 29.1%. 3/4 people in the US live East of the Rockies.

Also in terms of percentage growth, starting with a smaller number makes the percentage look big. Texas and Florida added more people than any other state according to the 2020 census.
Just wait until climate change and rising sea levels screw everything up. The West feels like it is constantly on fire and Florida is sinking into the ocean. The Northern states should just play the long game and wait until everyone starts moving back up here because winters are no longer so bad and southern summers are unbearable.

Diving into forums across the country is fun right now. Wazzu playing out all the scenarios where they aren't screwed, without acknowledging its a possibility. Zona St laughing at WSU, OSU, and lumping in rival Zona as they won't land anywhere, acknowledging they likely won't make the B1G. Some want a revamped PAC and some want Big12. B1G fans wondering who they're grabbing next. One interesting option was doing the anti SEC and grabbing blueblood basketball UNC/Duke/Kansas. Florida State fans trying to figure out how they get out of the GOR and land safely in the SEC despite Florida. NC St fans acknowledge ACC's time is limited hoping for SEC landing spot. What a soap opera!?!?!
NC state fans know by heart how many schools have to vote to dissolve ACC. That is the number of teams the SEC and big 10 have to take. It is interesting.

I think the Big 10 would much rather poach ACC than the remaining Pac 12 teams.

I agree, I think after the clear #1 of Notre Dame, UNC and Virginia would most interesting to the B1G. That’s 19; Duke makes 20 (hard to turn down that basketball brand).

SEC could add Florida State, NC State, Clemson, Virginia Tech for 20 as well.

I have a hard time seeing there being only a so called “Power 2” with programs like Miami and Oregon on the outside though.

I love Aus but that continent can't support a ton of people. The coasts are beautiful but the interior is the outback for a reason.

I huge part of southeast CA/NV/Utah/AZ is same way. Large part of it just shouldn't be permanently populated and the areas that do make sense (northern Utah, high elevation AZ) didn't start growing until 100 years after the rest of the country. People talk about how wild and unlivable Australia is with all the poisonous desert creatures. Arizona has that too, I saw a giant centipede the size of my forearm that might as well have been a space alien.

I still have a hard time believing that ND will ever join the Big 10. Seems they like to stick it to them more than anything. After ND, UNC and Virginia are the top choices for the Big 10. If they don't get ND, then I could see them adding Oregon and Washington to get to 20.

You could be right, but why would ESPN pay those 4 teams $375M combined when they could pay OSU $200M and the other three $25M each?

Also, LOVE "Tha Ohio State" that is fantastic.

Yeah these places will never hold the population the rest of the country does. You will start filling in those spots about the time we are terraforming Mars.

Last time I checked, California did not have a contiguous border with Nebraska (although driving through Nebraska can make it seem that way). I can't believe the BIG would bend their rules just to make more money.

Is the sarcasm pirate necessary?
