Realignment Megathread (All The Moves)

But as stupid as that is, it's nowhere near as stupid as you thinking members of Congress in SEC and B1G states would vote to lessen the advantages those conferences have over other conferences and G5 schools. I'm still kind of stunned you actually believe that. Lol.
LOL. your continued stupidity on the B10 and SEC somehow being disadvantaged is, as previously posted, by far the dumbest take in this entire thread. Only a Tavern Hawk can conclude that.

Since big money boosters want to be involved so much, how about a wealth tax on $X income above a certain threshold, say $1M and up. Funnel it to a salary pool for all college athletes in the state. Compensate everyone fairly. For the good of the sport right?!

I think 98% of fans agree. And probably 80% of coaches (less travel hassle).

Its just a handful of conference commissioners and the media guys writing checks driving it in the opposite direciton. But thems with the gold makes the rules.
I would love to go back to the old Big Ten. It's hard enough to try finishing at the top with Ohio St. and Michigan in there, it's light years tougher when you add Oregon, Penn St., USC, etc. But it ain't happening and there's no use shouting at the rain.

The vast majority of Legacy B10 Presidents would as well with media rights pooling and revenues potentially doubling.

The revenues are doubling regardless so kinda a moot point there.

Also you keep repeating this as fact without having a single source behind it let alone the multiple sources to make the claim “vast majority”

IM OBSESSED WITH CAMPBELL?!?!?!?

You seriously didnt just post that! You have literally posted about him and repeated the same thing on his 7x10 and double to triple money claim on every page here for something like 1000 pages over the last 2 years.

If anyone is obsessed with him its you. Im only commenting about him as replies to your constant repeating of the same thing over and over and over and over again.

He can lobby until the end of time, doesnt mean any of it is actually going to happen.

Is it ok to say you're being hysterical then

I'd like to go back to the old big 8 or OG big 12. Our payout per school would be much better and a tougher conference too.

Grow up and quit being a baby like speedy.

As previously posted by others, majority of fans and coaches are assumed to want a legacy 10 team B10. Safe to assume the majority of legacy B10 Presidents want it likewise.
Ok so no sources for the presidents now we’re just assuming. Any actual sources saying a majority of big ten coaches or fans that want this?

No one previously posted this, you are making wild assumptions based on your own feelings and then spreading those assumptions around to a bunch of other groups

Sounds promising on the momentum of pooling the media rights. If this happens, I expect Big 10 and SEC to say, "Ok, 70% us, 30% you guys. You guys figure it out how you want to split your 30% with the G6.". Though all would have more money, we still wouldn't solve the disparity that is making all sports uncompetitive unless you are in the Big 10 or SEC.

Or what would be ironic is that the Big 10 and SEC pool their rights leaving the rest high and dry.

You can pool the revenue rights and get more money that's great. If there is no "salary cap" or structure to payments, oversight of the process does it really matter. Example football revenue is 50 million going rate of a QB is 5 million. If you move the revenue needle to 80 million the going rate of a QB will now be 8 million. It's just more of the same.

If all goes to plan, the B10/SEC would not have the future "joint authority" to make those type of decisions.

They actually don't have it now. Those two bullied their way to increase CFP shares and increased CFP decision making authority by threatening to separate from the rest of FBS.
