Looks like I need to clean these...

Merkur Futur on top-Too big for my face
Edwin Jagger-Good but slick
Merkur 37C slant-Pretty Aggressive
Merkur 34C-My go to
Edwin Jagger-Good but slick
Henson AL-13-2 days old. So far I'm impressed. Really light. Seems to be designed different than the rest.

Got this a year ago. One of my favorite possessions. Can’t believe I was almost fifty before I started using it. Single blade. Replacement blades are super cheap.
Just got it for Christmas. Excited to try and single blade for the first time

I like the classic, I’m just not in to the e-scooters. I strap this to a pannier on Ragbrai and use it when I get in to the O/N town to get around because I’m usually bored of being on a bike all day and I can just fold it up and carry it around if I find something to do. Faster than walking.

Any safety users have a strong opinion on a certain soap or brush?
Honestly this is up to your skin. And what works for you. I did some years with the cheap pick next to the razors at the grocery store.

You can literally use anything though. Go gel foam w safety. You don’t have to go full old fashioned shave bc you go safety.

I think I should have gotten the AL13-M. I'm finding that the AL13 isn't aggressive enough and doesn't leave my face as smooth as some others, even with feather blades. I wonder if there is a way to just buy the more aggressive head.

How do you like that adjustable futur? Thinking about the progressive or another adjustable. (This rabbit hole is indeed deep!)

Does anyone have a strong opinion of a butterfly razor compared to the style that simply unscrews?

Actually went to this 15 years ago and haven’t regretted it one bit.
Just got one of these for Christmas. Looking forward to trying it out.

Haven't shaved in over a decade other than edges around my beard. Went to a straight razor for that years ago and won't go back

Besides that; ie how useful/practical is the "adjustability?"
That piece works well. Since I just use it on my head, I leave it on 1 (least aggressive) but I've used it on my face with 1-3. 5 with feathers would frighten me with that huge gap.

FTR I have a 'full' beard so I don't need to worry about under nose and some other tight spots. My grain is all over the place on my neck, so I think* a varying level of aggressiveness might* be beneficial for me.

Yes, that may be a good use case.
