I’m glad we are barely ranked. I think is just fuel for the fire.
It has been a long, long time since either Alabama or Ohio State have been 5-2 after 7 games.

I'm okay with a 20s ranking. Plenty of games to keep working up.
First to 6. It's going to be like the 9-6 game they had a few years ago.
This is the last AP poll that matters. Everyone will shift to CFP rankings next week, and I am expecting a nice boost for ISU if we handle WVU.
Indiana was #18 when played Iowa . Now they are 2-5
Isu was 9th and now is 22nd
Maryland was 4-0 when playing Iowa, now has been out scored 134-47 in the past 3 games.
penn state was controlling the first half of the game and lost their Qb For the year. They just lost at home to Illinois and probably will lose 3-4 more games and not be ranked.
Purdue just got hammered at home the game after being ranked and beating the hell out of Iowa.
All these teams Iowa played have or in the process of imploding (minus isu). And iowa moved up to 9th…
So rankings are worthless is my point….
We are a play away at Baylor from being top 10 is what is really sad and is why Vegas likes us.

I'm surprised how many fans are complaining. 22nd, 16th, who cares? It's the AP poll in week 8. I prefer to be ranked, but until it gets to the top 10, I don't see the point in trying to figure out who deserves what. The reporters take 15 minutes to fill out their polls at this point in the season. Did you win? You move up. Did you lose? You move down. Submit.
This. Coastal is still ranked because some idiot had them in the top 10 after losing to App State. The real rankings start next week
Not disagreeing but PSU QB Sean Clifford is back. Played the entire game yesterday when they lost to Illinois.
AP rankings seem pretty meaningless. Iowa moves back into the top 10 after a bye, and we beat a #8 Oklahoma State team that we were favored to beat, but Oklahoma State still ends up ranked higher than us. It's just a silly popularity contest.
