Rankings Drop?

Obviously wish we would have won more handily and played better. But I never really thought the game was in too much jeopardy due to our defense. Some of you seem to have forgot past isu/uni and Iowa/uni games. They usually don’t get stomped. Now let’s take Iowa down a peg after their big win today!

I think we probably drop a spot or stay put. National perception wise, I think the respect for UNI will leave this at a minimal drop. We are also helped significantly with other top teams losing or having close games. Iowa will likely be ~9/10 with their win giving ESPN a top 10 matchup.

Just took another look at the polls and I don’t see a lot of teams that could jump us. Cincinnati, Notre Dame if they get past Florida State, then who? Most of the teams a few spots behind us either lost or weren’t very impressive. Maybe the voters go crazy after week one and throw a Penn State or UCLA into the top ten?

I think Iowa is going to jump up like five spots. The CyHawk game is huge for both teams and potentially the playoff picture.

Yeah... unfortunately we aren't even close to their level right now. I thought we might be close, but we aren't. Not only talentwise, but coaching wise too.

I’ll bet you will be one of the loudest complainers of Campbell leaves.

but you should remember what you wrote here. It obviously won’t be a very big loss

Any process that starts with “not playing well and almost losing or sometimes losing against FCS Team” isn’t a process I’m on board with.

Your football trolls have been on point this year, really impressive.

this one feels like you’re trying a little too hard. You can still save it, though

Not all W's are the same, though.

It's totally and completely fair for Iowa State fans to not be happy with what happened on the field today. We're all happy the Cyclones won but there's no reason a team the Cyclones outmatch so badly in talent should be in such a close game.

Are you clone dude’s dad? Or, is he yours?

I’m betting OU barely moves with their 5 point win with a similar spread that we had against UNI but we will fall farther than them.

Have you seen Spencer Petras numbers yesterday? WOOF!!!!
In feel more confident next Saturday than I did against UNI. We ALWAYS play under our abilities in game 1.
